Joy Marie LaFoya Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Marie LaFoya of Riverton, Wyoming, who passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter John Coates and Isabel Welsh Coates; her husband Fred LaFoya; her children, Jeffrey Thompson, Jody Apodaca and David Jeff LaFoya; and her siblings, Inez Siek, George Coates and Robert Coates.

She is survived by: her daughter Kimberly Goodman (Jeff); her daughter-in-law Kathy LaFoya; her sons, Daniel Treesh and Brandon LaFoya; her grandson Trenton Apodaca (Crystal May Tan); her great grandchildren, Jarrod and Andrea Apodaca; her granddaughter Leandra Apodaca (William Bateman); her great grandchildren, Max and Gus; and her siblings, Daniel Coates of Scottsdale, Arizona and Norma Eaton of Riverton.

Memorials in Joy's honor may be made to Help for Health Hospice Home and will be appreciated by the family in care of Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
