He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor H. Giles and Mildred Shockly (Stilson); his children, Dalles Giles and Leslie Giles; and his sisters, Mary Murdock and Joanne Gavin.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Giles of Johnstown Valley; his children, Buck Giles (Dawn) of Pavillion, Vicki Giles (Chester Pingree) of Fort Washakie and Terri Carroll (Gary) of Hudson; and his grandchildren, Autumn, Ashley, Ross and Taylor. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
