He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Estes Burns and Maxarine Bolan Hudspeth (MeMe); his stepfather Clyde Hudspeth; and his sister Deborah Burns Giddens. He is survived by : his wife Manuelita Arguello Burns (Lita); his children, Matthew and Marie of Coeur; his mother-in-law Cleo Medina of Riverton; his sister Lindy; his brothers-in-law, Dave Paskett and Paul Medina of Lafayette, CO; and his nieces and nephews, Jeremy Paskett (Kristen), Brooks Paskett (Zosia) of Riverton, Jessica Giddens-Burrell of Ridgeland, MS and Jennifer Krause (Scott) of Cheyenne. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, gift donation be sent to Pope St. Pius X Food Pantry, a ministry that serves the poor and homeless of the Coeur d'Alene community, or to a non-profit of the donor's choice.
