He is survived by: his wife Ann Laabs of Rock Springs, Wyoming; his children, Mike Laabs (Katie) of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Tony Laabs of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Camille Laabs of Washington and Manuela Trujillo; his siblings, Davis Laabs of Midland, Texas, David Laabs of Midland, Texas, Jerry Laabs of Midland, Texas, Jasper Laabs of Midland, Texas, Flavia Laabs of Midland and Elsie Laabs of Midland; his sisters-in-law, Mary Montoya of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Shirley Fisher (Mark Pollo) of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Tina Stagner of Riverton, Wyoming, Diana Chalcraft of Dubois, Wyoming, Hope Urrutia (Moses) of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Ginger Troester (Joseph "Joe") of Rock Springs, Wyoming; his granddaughter Amari Chavez; and his godson Jake Fisher.
