He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Zahrowski and Rosemarie Zahrowski. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Harkins; his son Eric Zahrowski; and his siblings, Lonel "Lonnie" Zahrowski, Alex "Bill" Zahrowski, Gloria Kautz, Vernel Trove and Elva Hix.
