He is survived by: his son John Thomas Boender; his wife Jan; his daughter Julie; his grandchildren, Madison (Tyler), Vivian, Carter and Sedona; his brother Dave Boender (Nancy); and his sister-in-law Rita Boender.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Cowboy Church (4 Ponderosa Dr, Story, WY 82842).
