He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Helkenn and LaVerne Helkenn (Kruthoff); his siblings, Wayne (Mary Helkenn), Gene Helkenn, Norman Helkenn, Arlyn Helkenn (Um) and Patsy Wallum; and his uncle Art Helkenn.
He is survived by : his wife Betty Marie Carter; his children, Brian (Jill), Tami, Carmen (Tom), Wade (Jami) and Ted; his brother Dale; and his sisters-in-law, LaVonne Helkenn, Carolyn and Joyce. He is also survived by grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.
