He was predeceased by: his wife Edith; and his son John Michael. He is survived by: his daughters, Margie Molitor (Leon) of Thermopolis and Barb Pecks of St. Paul; his grandchildren, Nathan Molitor of Sheridan and Megan Molitor of Sheridan; and his great grandchild Branston Mowry (Montana) of Jordan.
He served on the Dakota State Foundation and was named outstanding alumni and outstanding educator at DSU.
