She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Lawrence and Ruth Lawrence (Lucas); her husband Melvin Slack; her children, Roy Mayfield, Jack Mayfield, James Slack (Skip), Martha Mayfield and Peggy Slack; and her siblings, Jess Lawrence and Patsy Lyle.
She is survived by: her children, Evelyn Holmes (Don) of Huron, SD, Bruce Slack of Savannah, GA, Nancy Davies (Dave) of Anaheim, CA and Michael Slack of Lebanon, MO; her siblings, Lucky Lawrence (Kate) of Wallace, ID and Wilma Snyder (James) of Carthage, IL; and her daughter Carol Bivens (Marton) of Thermopolis. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandsons.
