He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay Rife (Brown); his sister Donna Vick (Mike); his children, Shawn Edward Rife (Tania) and Shanna Britta Mellnick (Vinnie); and his grandchildren, Khaylen Rife, Kallie Rife, Cole Rife, Lucy Mellnick, Maddox Rife, Addison Rife, Lillian Mellnick, Jade Rife, Layla Mellnick and Ivy Rife.

Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church.
