Velma L. Stewart Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma L. Stewart (Torrington, Wyoming), who passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, may Velma find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Pomeroy and Stella Pomeroy (Curtis); her former husband Gene Edmiston; her husband Jim Stewart; her daughter Dianna Evans; and her brothers, Melvin (Louise Pomeroy), Vernon (Fern Pomeroy) and Gary (Agnes Pomeroy). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Donations in memory of Velma may be made to the Alzheimer's unit at the Care Center.
