With sadness, we share the passing of Jane A. Dowdy of Upton, Wyoming. Jane, born on January 21, 1936, passed away on September 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel Ames (Huckins) and William Ames; her husband Mick Sr.; and her grandchildren, Sonya Duvall, Larry Updike and Alfred Updike.
She is survived by: her children, Mick Dowdy (Heidi) of Upton, Susan Mills (Mervyn) of Wright, Lisa Koranda of Wright and Jeff Dowdy; her grandchildren, Jesse McColley (Leslie) of Rozet, JC, Crystal Davis (Rob) of Rozet, Luke Dowdy (Genetha) of Upton, Jere Updike, Brianna Hughes (Linden), Erik Klein (Nykeba), Nick Mills (Katie) and Avery Mills (Twila); and her sister Irene Buckmiller. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Upton Greenwood Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1113 2nd St, Upton, WY 82730.
