He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Michel and Helen Michel (Spadt); his son Dennis; and his brother Jerry Michel. He is survived by: his wife Del of Worland; his children, David "Dave" Michel (Angela) of Worland and Deanne Michel (Justin Golden) of Gillette, Wyoming; his sisters, Judy Strauch (Jack) of Worland and Nancy Myers of Stillwater, Minnesota; his siblings-in-law, Carol Michel of Billings, Montana, Lynn Carow of Bartlett, Minnesota and Doug Mattson of Worland; his grandchildren, Jay Michel (Ali), Devon Michel (Cassidy), Brady Michel, Garrett Michel, Cameron Michel and Jonathan Sanderson; and his great grandchildren, Audree, Krew, Alyson, Ryatt and Ellie.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Zion Church (1500 Circle Rd, Worland, WY 82401).
