He was predeceased by : his parents, Milford Howard and Alice Flossie Pierce (Hammer); and his siblings, Harold, Ronald, David, Maradean Pierce, Linda Pierce, Wanda Weisgerber, Sherry Pierce, Betty Caldwell and Christene Pierce.

He is survived by : his wife Carolyn June Ainsworth of Worland; his children, Charles Gerke of Wheeler, Kyle Pierce of Worland and Christy Walter (Philip) of Worland; his grandchildren, Hannah, Ethan Walter of Worland, Caitlin McJunkin (Cordell) of Franny, Courtney Gerke of Perkinston and Cassandra Wishard (Drew) of Hutsonville, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Copper Wishard, Dennis McJunkin, Packston McJunkin and Aspen George; and his siblings, Howard Pierce (Donna) of Cheyenne, Eugene Pierce (Linda), Terry Pierce (Kathy) of Worland, Jerry Pierce of Ogallala, Nebraska, Charolette Gardner of Worland, Marilyn Moschowsky (Gary) of Lanesville and Jacqueline Hornkohl of Worland.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 4:00 PM at the Zion Church (1500 Circle Rd, Worland, WY 82401). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ten Sleep Cemetery (519 Cottonwood St, Ten Sleep, WY 82442). The military honors was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial donations may be made to the New Hope Humane Society or the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ten Sleep.
