He was predeceased by: his parents, John Delaney and Viola Delaney (Sampson); his former wife Martha Simpson; and his siblings, Richard Delaney and Alice Clark.

He is survived by: his wife Deany; his children, Patrick Delaney of Jackson, WY, Tim Delaney (Kristi) of Hastings, NE, Erin Cafferty of Rapid City, SD, Tavell Peete (Jeff) of Billings, MT and Roy Teigen of Hurricane, UT; and his grandchildren, Ben Delaney, Kate Delaney, Taylor Delaney, Anna Cafferty, JT Cafferty, Madison Peete, Sharli Kiner, Jacee Cortez, Kayli Steadman, Mara Teigen and Sam Teigen. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, extended family and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shell Hall or Shell Volunteer Fire Department.

“I first met Tom in the late 70"s and worked with him as manufacturing supplier. Tom pioneered mechanized irrigation in Wyoming and shared his experience and passion for getting water in the ground while saving water, labor and doing a better job of irrigation. His "cow sense" made the systems work for the specific application. Tom improved irrigation for his growers and the state of Wyoming. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I will miss my friend. Don Zimmerman”
