He was predeceased by: his parents, Meryl Ray Gillespie and Marvine Greer; his brothers, Jerold Gillespie and Ronald Gillespie; and his granddaughter Charli Jourdan.
He is survived by: his children, Todd Gillespie, Trent Gillespie (Chandler), Trevor Gillespie, Carl Gillespie (Linden) and Sheri Cahalan (San Tan Valley); and his stepchildren, Eddie Avila and Amy Avila. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
