We announce the death of Lewis Wayne Peters of Eagar, Arizona, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 81. Lewis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Johny Andrew Peters and Vivian Brown; his son Kenyon Peters; his daughter-in-law Tamara Peters; and his siblings, Buster, Roland, Loney, Rosa Lee, Nona, Lily and Arlene.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Gillespie Peters; his children, Shawn Peters (Jocelyn), Trent Peters (Sheila), Tonya Peters and Tara Gibbons (Ronnie); and his brothers, Keith Peters and Bobby Peters. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Amity Building (576 W School Bus Rd, Eagar, AZ 85925). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
