He was predeceased by: his parents, Monico Griego and Cruzita Baca Leyba; his brothers, Patricio "Pat" Griego, Oliver Griego, Richard Griego and David Griego; and his grandson Victor "Junior" Adan Molina Griego.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Mary Helen Pineda; his children, James "Sonny" M. Griego, Jr., Celedonio E. Griego, Jr., Teresa A. Molina, Phoenix, Sarah N. Griego and Christy C. Griego; and his siblings, Celedonio Griego, Gilbert Griego, Rebecca Sandoval, Lucille Griego and Marylou Vallejos. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
