He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Ann Carpenter; his children, Deric Carlos Valdivia, Adam Thomas Valdivia, Thomas Wesley Valdivia and Mariah Rae Valdivia; and his siblings, Thomas Valdivia, Ester Valdivia, Adaleena Valdivia and Teresa Valdivia. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
