He was predeceased by: his wife Syble. He is survived by: his daughters, Rita Byrne (Paul) and Wanda Klaas (Richard); and his grandchildren, Kathryn Klaas (Andres Yi Chang), Kristina Klaas (Travis Moore) and Michael Byrne (Regan Knotts Byrne).
