It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dwight Chaney (Spring Hill, Florida), who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrill Cecil Chaney and Mary Hannah Chaney (Osburn); his sister Irma Lamb (Chaney); his brother-in-law Richard Lamb; and his sister Lois Arlene Chaney.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lois Chaney (Roberts); his sons, Christopher B. Chaney (Kathleen) and Gregory Tyler Chaney (Joanne); his grandchildren, Andrew J. Chaney (Rebecca) of Sterling, Virginia, Rachel M. Chaney of Nahant, Sarah E. (Chaney), Schlosser (Conner) of Leesburg, Ethan T. Chaney of Harpers Ferry and Tyler J. Chaney of Spring Hill, Florida.; and his great grandchildren, Clara L. Chaney of Sterling, Virginia and Logan B..
Visitation was held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Brewer & Sons Funeral Home Seven Hills Chapel (280 Mariner Blvd, Spring Hill, FL 34609). A celebration of life was held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
