He was predeceased by: his wife Lorraine Heberlein. He is survived by: his children, Dennis Heberlein (Sharron), Susan Black (Jeffrey) and Janis Garone (Peter); his grandchildren, Leighann Burress (Waymon), Daniel Garone (Gina), Jennifer Linch Melissa (Kevin), Christopher Black (Carly), Kristin Garone, Lauren Black (Travis), Alyssa Daidola (Matthew) and Michael Heberlein (Chelsea); and his great grandchildren, Keira, Joseph, Wyatt, Emma, Lillian, Nathaniel, Leo, Aiden and Tristan.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home. A prayer was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at the Calverton National Cemetery.
The family has requested, as an alternative to flowers, memorial contributions to Patriot Guard Riders of New York, PGRNY.org or St. David's Lutheran Church, stdavidslutheran.net.
