She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Whiteside; her parents, Irvin Sowards and Anne Sowards; and her siblings-in-law, Linda Yager (Jim), Deborah Vaughn (Carmel), Bob Threet and Louis Wallen.
She is survived by: her son Christopher Whiteside (Afua); her granddaughters, Janelle and Isabelle; her daughter Shannon Hull (Shaun); her grandchildren, Ashlyn and Lillian; her daughter Michelle Earley (Dennis); her grandson Donovan; her sisters, Joan Loiselle, Alice Sowards and Linda Wallen; and her sisters-in-law, Janice Threet and Judy Hickle (Carl). She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Brewer & Sons Funeral Home (1190 S Broad St, Brooksville, FL 34601). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
