He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William Birdsong and Geneva Birdsong; and his father-in-law Eugene Townsend. He is survived by: his wife Marsha Birdsong; his daughters, Lea Birdsong Nelson (Christopher Nelson) and Drew Birdsong Bell (Alex Bell); his grandchildren, Nathan Bell (Mattie Maddox), Jaxon Bell and Ivy Nelson; his mother-in-law Alma Townsend; his sister-in-law Rhonda Townsend Milliken; his nephew Matthew Milliken; and his niece Virginia Milliken. He is also survived by cousins and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the New Haven Baptist Church Building Fund in Bill's memory.
