He was predeceased by: his parents, Burley Ashby and Hazel Marie Wirt Ashby; and his siblings, Mary Overstreet, Barbara Ashby, Ronnie Ashby and Burley Ashby, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Helga Ashby; his children, Michael Douglas Ashby and Helga Loretta Johnson; his siblings, James Ashby and Christine Ashby; and his grandchildren, Krystal Culver, Kenny Johnson, Douglas Ashby and Jessica Ashby.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Reece Funeral Home (15548 US-80, Jeffersonville, GA 31044). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
