He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleveland Land and Bonnie Davis Land; his wife Evelyn Thompson Land; his sons, Alan Land and Steve Land; his daughter-in-law Charlotte Land; his siblings, Davis Land, Ralph Land, Victor Land, Roland Land (Edna), Hudson Land (Jo) and Bonnie Penn (Sam); and his granddaughter Kristy Doles.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Land; his brother Buford Land; his daughter-in-law Annette Land; his grandchildren, Tracy Haynes (Wesley), Alana Mullins (Michael), Becky Oman, Katey Ray (Kessler), Keeley Thompson (Richard), Jim Simmons (Kristin) and LeAnn Jones (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Annsley Fox (Will), Gracy Haynes, Caleb Mullins, Connor Doles (Caleigh), Garrett Doles, Reilly Doles, Griffin Parker, Korbin Ray, Kohen Ray, Ethan Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Riley Slayton, Kallie Slayton, Hayden Jones, Reese Jones and Ashton Jones; his great great grandchild Amelia Fox; his grandson-in-law Mike Doles; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Land, Blanche Land, Betty Land, Carolyn Allen (Frankie), Johnny Thompson (Tina) and Larry Joe Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reece Funeral Home Inc. (15548 US-80, Jeffersonville, GA 31044). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stone Creek Baptist Church (854 Riggins Mill Rd, Dry Branch, GA 31020).
