He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Sims and Ethel Lee Battle Sims of Plains, Georgia.; and his siblings, Robert Sims, Henry Sims, Johnny Sims, Clyde Sims, Julia P. Burton and Dorothy Sims Perry.
He is survived by: his uncle Bobby Sims; his brother Jerry Sims of Plains, Georgia; his siblings-in-law, Katie Sims of Madison, Doris Sims of Americus, Georgia and Benny Perry of Plains, Georgia.; his close friends, Michael Dominique, Al Williams, Henry Evans, Jan Williams, Alonza Davis, Frank Williams and Derick Henry; Jerry Roberts. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
