He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Walker Harrod, Sr. and Mary Hale Harrod; and his siblings, Joyce Dalton, Gloria Partridge and Howard "Bud" Harrod Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Mary Linda Varnum Harrod of Plains; his children, Larry Dean Harrod, Jr. and Lee Ann Preston of Plains; his grandchildren, Lance Harrod, Shelly Harrod, Adam Preston and Riley Skinner (Cruz); and his great grandchild Colt Skinner.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Aldridge Funeral Services (612 Reese Park, Americus, GA 31709). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
