He was predeceased by : his parents, George F. Hervey Sr. and Minnie M. Hervey (Haase); his wife Alice Hervey of Sabetha; and his siblings, Opal Stuessie, Shirley Richards and John Hervey.

He is survived by : his siblings, Dan Hervey (Sue) of McPherson, Don Hervey (Lea Ann) of Scottsdale, Arizona and Elain Ellenwood of Papillion, Nebraska; his sister-in-law Roma Hervey of Sabetha; his nieces and nephews, Sally Kissel (Jim) of Wetmore, Gerald Hervey (Cass) of Sabetha, Betty Anne Niehues (Lester) of Sabetha and Carmen Oom (Michael) of Sabetha; and his close friend Evelyn Strough. He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews; and many great-great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church, and the Apostolic Christian Home sent in care of Popkess Mortuary, 823 Virginia Street, Sabetha, Kansas 66534.
