With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry Joe Cox of Sabetha, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Leland Cox and Margaret Maxine Cox (Maxey); his sister Laura Cox; and his son Danny Joe Cox. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Grote; his daughters, Lisa Mixon (Greg) of Wilmington and Laura Aberle (Scott) of Sabetha; his grandchildren, Travis Kellenberger (Erica) of Overland Park, Clint Mixon (Lauren) of Suffolk, Anna Felton (Chad) of Wilmington, Chad Aberle of Sabetha and Lindsey Aberle-Swanson (Mitch) of Gretna, Nebraska; and his brother Larry Cox (Murlene) of Sabetha. He is also survived by his six great-grandchildren with one great-grandchild.
