He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carlson and Ruby Carlson (Moore) of Salem, Nebraska.; his siblings, Delmar Carlson and Lois Fisher; his sons, James, Robert and Roger; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Elizabeth and Adam.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Carlson (Cindy) of Holton, Shawn Carlson of Topeka, Kansas and Connie Carlson of Topeka, Kansas; and his sister Rosalie Wells of Mississippi. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
