She was predeceased by: her parents, William Edward Taft and Frances Jewell Chumley Taft; her husband Leland "Lee" Walters, Sr.; and her son Leland Walters, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Annitra Goble (Justin); her brother Bill Taft (Deborah); and her grandchildren, Matthew, Cassandra, Alice, Tamika, Leland III, Nathan, Hunter and McKenzee. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home (607 Master St, Corbin, KY 40701). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
