She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Smith and Hallie Webb Smith; her husband Carl Black; her daughter Angela McLean; and her brother Jessie Jones.

She is survived by: her children, Randy Shane Howard, James Carl Black, Crystal Rosette Black-Brown, Tiffany Black, Hallie Black and Kayla Ann Black; and her sister Loretta May Caton.
