Though Helen Oaks may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Helen Oaks touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Oaks and Amanda Oaks (Powers); her husband Jesse "Ed" Bennett; her children, Sharon Manning and Glen Bennett; and her grandchildren, Patricia "Trish" Bennett Wilson (Tommy) and Dennis R Bright II.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home (607 Master St, Corbin, KY 40701). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
