He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Martin Ely; his son Jeffrey Roy Ely; his granddaughters, Channing Price (Jordan) and Jocie Hamblin (Isaiah); his great grandchildren, Madden Hamblin and Joplin Price; his sister Linda Ely Baker; Piper Volter.
