He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Lee Carter and Ada Mae Smith Carter; his grandson Ryder Carter; and his sisters, Frances Louise Carter Henson and Patricia Carter Potter.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Delph Carter; his children, Michael Paul Carter (Ashley), Amy Sue Carter and Jonathan William Carter (Arisa); his siblings, Carolyn Roberts (Mike), Don Carter (Dana) and Allen Dale Carter (Pam); and his close friends, Mike Roberts and David Hood. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, family, and many friends.
