He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert H. Gaddis, Sr. and Billie J. Gaddis Ferrell; his stepfather Bill Ferrell; his sons, Micky Gaddis, David Gaddis, Jr. and Gene Herbert Gaddis; and his sister Ann Black.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Gaddis (Tiffany Walker) and Byron Martin (Tara); his grandchildren, Makenna Gaddis, Micha Gaddis, Levi Gaddis, Luke Gaddis, Rebecca Browne (Michael), Kaleb Martin, Miranda Broughton and Brandon; his siblings, Henry Gaddis (Brenda), Marie Gregory (Jim), Wilhelmina Willis (Tim), Gary Black and Herbert H. Gaddis, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Deloris Warren (Charles). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
