She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Sr. Jones and Norma Jones; her husband James Carrier; her siblings, Sylvester, Alfred Jones and Edwina McCrary; her stepson Robert Carrier; and her siblings-in-law, Janie Norris and William Lynn Joseph.
She is survived by: her daughter Valencia Barnes (Cleveland); her son-in-law Larry Barnes; her grandson Joshua Campbell; her stepchildren, Karen, Veronica Carrier and Thermon Carrier; her stepgrandchildren, Cameron Garris, Asha, Aspen Carrier, Briana Harvey, Justin Carrier, Robert Alexander, Sharish Davis, Charish Davis-Murray, Pamela Tripeaux, Keisha Davis and Robert Davis; and her siblings, Alonzo Jr., Nathan, Rudolph Jones and Marjorie Timmons. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kinchen Funeral Home, Inc. (1011 N St Antoine St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
