It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Julien (Kaplan, Louisiana), who passed away on November 7, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Delton Julien, Sr. and Laura Mouton Robinson (Willie Robinson, Sr.); his grandparents, Dennis Mouton, Sr., Mable Cole-Mouton, Lawrence Julien and Alice T. Julien Green; his aunts and uncles, Rutherford, Waldwin Julien, Allegretta Julien-Moore and Constance Julien-Landry; his siblings, Marcus Alonzo Julien, Willie "Bill" Robinson, Willie Mae Breaux and Evelyn Despania; his aunts and uncles, Pearl Vallery, Mary Henderson, Dennis Mouton, Jr. and Charles Mouton, Sr.; and his siblings' children, Terrell Calkins, Raymond Despania, Jr., Patricia Despania and Della Breaux.
He is survived by: his children, Laura N. "Muffin" Mouton (Terrence) and Milton Mouton (Christi); his siblings, Conrad Mouton of Portland, Cyril Julien (Lillie) of Kaplan, Louisiana and Mable Denise Julien-Taylor (Deacon Michael) of Metairie, Louisiana.; and his aunts and uncles, Elder Roy (Jay) of Delcambre, Louisiana, Connie Mouton of Abbeville, Louisiana, Estelle Wilson Collins Julien (Willie Collins), Martha Julien of New Orleans, Louisiana, Terry and Stafford Julien (Jacqueline) of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Beginnings Primitive Baptist Church (622 E 1st St, Kaplan, LA 70548). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
