It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Albert Journet Sr. of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Carencro, Louisiana, who passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Journet and Justine Journet (Livings). He is survived by: his children, Modine Journet, Gloria Clark (Peter) of Carencro, Connie Journet and Albert Journet, Jr. (Geraldine) of Lafayette; his sisters, Audrey Clais (Norris) of Lafayette, Elise Adams (Stanley) of Cankton, Dorthy Bruno (Jone) of Atlanta, Annie Mae Journet and Gostaria Batiste of Lafayette; his close friend Mary Jean Dixon; his wife Ruby Angelle Journet; his daughters, Christine Journet Brooks and Lisa Ann Journet; his stepdaughters, Betty Dixon and Wanda Savoy; his siblings, Cecila Benoit, Shelby, Regis, Robley and Wilton Journet; his great grandchildren, Kevione Faulk, Kevin Faulk, Jr., Trevion Faulk and Davante Robinson; his stepgrandson Tyler Etienne; and also, Amanda Fletcher (Craig), Robert Dixon (Toya) and Shelton Dixon (Shamara). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and 20 great-great grandchildren.
