With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Faye Roberts-Jenkins of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Alexandria, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 21, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Horace Roberts Sr. Faye; her son Eric Jenkins; her mother Theresa Roberts; her grandparents, Louise, Frank Harris, Hubbard Sims, Clara and Armadale Roberts; her siblings, Louis Roberts, Horace Roberts Jr. and Betty Jean Roberts; and her siblings-in-law, Paul Lilly, Robert Lair and Mildred Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Jenkins (Cinnamon), Tina Fontenette (Leroy), Theresa Gobert (Alton) of Lafayette and Berlin Jenkins III (Tosha); and her grandchildren, Monica, Lonnie, Berlin III, Sonny, Erica (Damon), Cammie (Morel), Alexis, Nikki (Tyrone), Alton Jr., Kayla, Terry Jr., Terrance, Kacie (John), Eric Jr. and Emmanuel. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, friends, neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Progressive Baptist Church (2001 E Simcoe St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (355 Teurlings Dr, Lafayette, LA 70501).
