He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Sam and Cecile George Sam; his brothers, Cornelius, Milton Jr. and Alton Sam; his grandsons, Caiden Narcisse and Joseph; and his daughters, Tina Lemelle (Tony), Paula Mitchell of Atlanta, Karen Gedward (Avery), Jennifer Narcisse (Warren), Valencia Montgomery (Edward) and Jonetta Sam.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Mary Burney; his pet Barry White; his grandchildren, Jarred Sam (Shana), Jacolby Narcisse (Michelle), Justin Narcisse (Tyra), Kandace Sam, Paige, Morganie, Brittany, Madison Montgomery, Sydni, Jaden Sam, Levi, Ivy Gaudin, Arteisha, Trenston Harrison, Artel, Ar'moni, Artaneyia and Fifteen; and his brothers, Murphy Sam and Clifton Prejean.
