He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Joseph Young, Sr., Ruth Alexander Young, Edward P. Chatters, Sr. and Orleane Hughes Chatters; and his uncles, Rutherford H. Chatters III and Tyronne M. Augusta, Sr..

He is survived by : his parents, Joseph Young, Jr. and Lynn Chatters Lackings; his wife Daphney Francis Chatters; his children, Jaquincy Francis, Tiarra Chatters, Jordan Ely, Julian Everette Chatters, Jr., Jaidan Chatters and Javian Chatters; his grandchild Demi Denise Chatters; his sisters, Monique Chatters Louissaint (Gregory), Josetta White and Tiffany Owens; and his godmother Geraldine Wilson. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
