We are sad to announce that on June 6, 2025, at the age of 91, Marvin Emile Colar of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Jeanerette, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Colar and Eva "Young" Colar. He is survived by: his nieces, Iris Lynn Colar-Vaughn, Brenda S. Colar-Johnson, Caren Colar-McNary, Juanita Colar Summers, Cheryl D. Colar-McKenzie of Dallas, TX and Marcia A. Colar-King; his wife Anna Grace Colar; and his siblings, Allegra Lynn, Iris Lynn, Laura M. Colar, Gladstone, Calvin, Henry, Larry and Harold Colar. He is also survived by other nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM and on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the First Jerusalem Baptist Church (835 Monnot Rd, Jeanerette, LA 70544). A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Beau Pre Cemetery (7605 E Old Spanish Trail, Jeanerette, LA 70544).
