He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Joseph Chaisson, Sr. and Belva Narcisse Chaisson of Lafayette; his brother Curtis Chaisson; his sisters-in-law, Patricia Pomier Chaisson and Stephanie Williams Chaisson; his grandparents, George Chaisson, Rosella DeJean Chaisson, Webster Narcisse and Lydia Senegal Narcisse; his aunts and uncles, Loveless Chaisson, Murphy Chaisson, Merlin Chaisson, Dalton Narcisse, Coolidge Narcisse, Clayton Narcisse, Hazel Chaisson Matthews, Doris Chaisson Godfrey, Mary Chaisson Skillman, Frances Chaisson Norman and Dorothy Narcisse Damond; and his godmother Melba Narcisse Batiste.

He is survived by: his wife Hilda Vallier; his children, Tyra Danae Chaisson of Lafayette, Michael Chaisson, Jr. and Travis Vallier; his grandsons, Israel Chaisson of Lafayette, Christian Tressler of Lafayette and Colin Vallier of Lafayette; and his brothers, Dallas Chaisson, Jr., Larry Chaisson, Sr. (Priscilla) and Daniel Chaisson (Denise) of Lafayette.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (818 12th St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A rosary will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Kinchen Funeral Home, Inc. (1011 N St Antoine St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (818 12th St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A burial will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery (818 12th St, Lafayette, LA 70501).
