It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sterling James Wilson of Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on December 2, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorsayand Hazel Granger Wilson and Hazel GrangerWilson; his siblings, Yvoone Jones, Ruby Pleasant, Roy Pleasant and Bill; and his grandson Archie Vallier, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Iona Wilson; his children, Cathy Robinson (Gerald), Janet Green, Sr. (Larry), Jeanette Wilson Allen, Hazel Alexander (Ronnie), Eula Little (Jerry), Sterling James Wilson, Jr. and Hissister; his sister-in-law Patricia Guidry; and his godson Clint Carter. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
