She was predeceased by: her husband Tarlton Peter Nico, Sr.; her parents, Wallace Lockett and Laura Richardson Lockett; and her daughter Charlene Nico Williams. She is survived by: her children, Gregory Paul Lockett of Four Corners, LA, Tarlton Peter Nico, Jr. of New Iberia, LA, Bobby Nico (Avis) of Baldwin, LA, Clifford Nico (Rose) of New Iberia, LA, Tracey N. Bonito (Michael) of Atlanta, GA, Sonia N. Williams (Benny) of New Iberia, LA, Christine N. Barard (Lawrence) of Baldwin, LA and Angela Nico Johnson (Bernard) of Jeanerette, LA. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Saint John Baptist Church (1244 Big 4 Corners Rd, Jeanerette, LA 70544). A celebration of life was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
