He is survived by: his wife Lenora Shaw Placide of New Iberia, LA; his children, Charles Joseph Placide, Jr. (Irma) of Lafayette, LA, Damien Placide, Sr. (Tabaki), Thaddeus Williams of New Iberia, LA, Earl Williams of Baldwin, LA, Taeleab Placide (Robert), Tiffany Williams, Crystal Williams, Penny Brooks (Carlos, Sr.) of New Iberia, LA, Treneica Placide Henry (Johnathan Sr.) of Youngville, LA and Kelly Shaw (Mance) of New Iberia, LA; and his siblings, Wilfred Placide, Jr. of New Iberia, LA, Larry James Placide, Sr. (Ellen) of Jeanerette, LA and Lois Lopez of New Iberia, LA. He is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family.
