He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lee Haisley Mason and Gus Thomas, Sr.; his stepfather David Mason; his grandparents, Amy Haisley Batiste and Kemper Batiste, Sr.; and his siblings, Freddie Narcisse Sr., Donald Ray Thomas, Michael Thomas, Peggy Hatcherson, Tina Prevost, Albertha Prevost and Gail Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Melanie Latulas Prevost of New Iberia, LA; his children, Tawain Harrison, Tyjuandre Harrison of Port Arthur, TX, Edward F. Prevost, Jr. of New Iberia, LA, Javorius White of New Iberia, LA, Javian Williams of New Iberia, LA and Shalorie Archangel of New Iberia, LA; his stepchildren, Lynn Champagne, III of Arkansas, Glenn Champagne, Tre Price of New Iberia, LA, Ross Champagne of Minnesota, Brianca Wiltz and Christina Antoine of New Iberia, LA; his siblings, Blair Narcisse, Sr. (Chukia) of New Iberia, LA, Gus Thomas, Jr., Leonard Thomas of Four Corners, LA, Thomas Narcisse of Washington, Loucinda Prevost of New Iberia, LA, Alfreda Walker (Nathan) of New Iberia, LA, Doretha Sparrow of New Iberia, LA, Patricia Prevost of New Iberia, LA, Brenda Lynn Villa of New Iberia, LA and Barbara Lancelin of Four Corners, LA; and his godchildren, Yolanda Lee and Neveah Barnes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fletcher Funeral Home of New Iberia (609 W Admiral Doyle Dr, New Iberia, LA 70560). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
