He was predeceased by: his wife Charlotte Granger; his parents, Leopold Granger and Olivia Vallot Granger; his siblings, Carlton, Hebert, Albert, Joseph, Sidney Granger and Mary Lee Granger; and his grandparents, Joseph and Eva Vallot.
He is survived by: his children, Gilbert Granger, Jr. of Saint Martinville, LA, Daron Granger of Houston, TX, Stilley Granger of New Iberia, LA, Leona Granger of New Iberia, LA., Lashonda Granger of New Iberia, LA., Shanita Granger of New Iberia, LA. and Shalita Granger Valier (Azizi) of Franklin, LA; his siblings, Harry Granger of New Iberia, LA, Curley Granger of Houston, TX and Eva G. Vital; and his goddaughter Melissa Broussard. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
